Description
Here is an outstanding twinned rutile partly coated with iridescent turgite on a pyrophyllite matrix. This was collected by, and in the former collection of, the legendary Charlie Padgett, who is known to have collected some of the best of this Graves material. The rutile is especially thick and the twinning is very dramatic! Some of the turgite has saturated colors which adds to the uniqueness of this piece. The crystals are well structured/terminated, and it makes for quite the rarity for titanium minerals! This is a fantastic specimen from this famous US locale! Releasing this one from my personal collection Dimensions: 7.2 by 7.3 by 4.6
