Description
This specimen features stibiconite, which formed as a pseudomorph after stibnite, along with thick barite crystals, all of which is over iron stained drusy quartz crystals. This piece comes from Xikuangshan Sb deposit, which is famous for this type of formation, although it’s very rare to see a piece of such magnitude! The barite is well formed and dispersed somewhat randomly across the matrix. All of the stibiconite formed either next to or on the barite crystals, and in some instances is included within the barite! The quartz has good luster and sparkles more than the videos show. This is an outstanding museum sized specimen from this large antimony deposit. Looks amazing in person! This one is being released from my private collection.
