Description
A mixture of siderite and sphalerite have created an epimorphic cast over a previous generation of calcite. The calcite has since dissolved away leaving nothing but a shell of its prior form. The crystals have a strong ochre color with a slight chatoyant sheen. The surface has an interesting texture that upon close inspection is made up of very tiny stepped formations. A rare specimen from this famous one-off find! These have become relatively difficult to find over the years, even more so when the crystals are perfectly in tact like this Dimensions: 8 by 6 by 4.1 cm
