Description
Here is a neat “growth interference” quartz crystal. This crystal has good clarity and glassy faces. Toward the bottom the crystal shows where the growth got disrupted during formation then continued again. The main crystal even terminated where it got dislocated from the base of the crystal, and the surrounding parts have recrystallized. Very interesting features! The sides have faint lateral striations all the way down as well. It also produces some rainbow refraction when the light comes through from behind. A fine crystal from a location known to produce some of the world’s best quartz!
