Description
Here’s a crazy quartz cluster with multiple epimorphic casts that replaced calcite. The quartz varies in size from large to small crystals, with the larger ones being some of the biggest I’ve seen from this find. There are holes throughout the piece from where calcite dissolved away. In one instance the calcite still remains. From the bottom you can see that there is a seem of epidote which the quartz formed around. Despite some occasional damage, this is easily one of the most unique and unusual specimens I’ve seen from this location.
