Description
Here is a fantastic optical quartz cluster featuring long, slender crystals with “read-through” transparency. One of the crystals has a Muzo habit in which the quartz tapers to just 3 prism faces going up toward the termination. The other crystal attached to it has a tabular habit. The sides of each have horizontal striations and glassy faces. A little refraction when backlit too. There is a smaller crystal toward the base that terminates into the other crystals. A fine specimen from a location known to produce some of the world’s best quartz!
