Description
Here is a very fine combo featuring gemmy calcite on mimetite crystals. The mimetite formed lustrous, prismatic crystals (a few of which are hollow) with about a quarter of them showing beautiful, flowering sprays. The calcite has some beautifully stepped crystals with mimetite inclusions as well as sharp, isolated rhombs topping a few of the mimetite. This came as a one off-piece in a box of mottramite I bought years ago, and Ojuela specimens of this quality are difficult to come by. A fantastic piece for the find!
