Description
Malachite has formed as a pseudomorph after azurite here. The malachite retained the shape of the azurite crystals and bits of blue from the azurite remains. This came to me with a label giving the locale as being Spring Creek Mine, however I haven’t found any examples of any pseudomorphs from there and suspect the actual locale to be Sir Dominick Mine, which is well known for these formations. This specimen is in excellent condition and comes mounted to the stand shown.
