Description
Here is a bicolored kunzite crystal from the Afghani pegmatites. This crystal is gemmy with dozens of jagged terminations on each end. The kunzite shows a split down the middle of blue and purple colors when looking through the c axis. Both colors are less common than pink for these specimens. This piece has an incredible phosphorescence that keeps it glowing for long after the UV light is off. I’m not exaggerating when saying the phosphorescent glow is over 30 seconds. An interesting gem specimen!
