Description
Here is a rare specimen of chromium bearing clinochlore var. kämmererite. The kammererite produced well formed, sharp crystals on a section of the matrix. The color of the crystals is a rich purple magenta color, which is rare for any mineral species. This is a large matrix piece from the top producing locale for this species. This mine has been inactive for decades, and specimens are much harder to get these days!
