Description
Here is a colorful specimen of turgite (iridescent hematite/goethite). The iridescence is fantastic, showing the whole spectrum with neon-like color saturation! Some of the iridescence, like many Graves Mt specimens, exhibits a color change effect when humid air is applied to the crystals. Very interesting effect! There are some weird melted/drippy areas that look really cool too! An awesome specimen from a small recent find. Photos are not enhanced.
