Description
Here is an incredible combo specimen featuring green apophyllite with mordenite balls and stilbite blades on a contrasting red heulandite matrix. The apophyllite crystals have a wonderful minty green hue with more color saturated zoning towards the surfaces. They are stepped on the terminated ends and flat and striated on the side faces. The terminations have a matte finish while the sides are smooth and glassy. The corners of the cubes are all triangular as well. The mordenite shows radiating spherical formations made up of thousands of needle like crystals, and some are even included inside of the apophyllite! Fortunately for the mordenite, unlike many of these fibrous zeolite crystals, they are very strong and durable and will not have any problem with shipping. A few stilbite blades can be found here and there and the heulandite crystals have excellent color saturation. All in all this is an outstanding cluster of enormous proportions! Self stands perfectly for display as shown in the 2nd and 8th slides! Weight: approximately 15 Lbs
