Description
Here is a rare combo specimen featuring dioptase crystals on a pseudomorph of chrysocolla after cuprite. Because the chrysocolla has no luster, it is more difficult to see the definition of the cuprite octahedron that it replaced in photos, but in person it is very clear and easy to see the dimension it takes on, and the octahedral form is very distinct. A small bunch of gemmy dioptase crystals have formed in one spot on this piece and the crystals are all well formed. I haven’t seen any other psuedomorphs of this kind. A very unique specimen to say the least!
