Description
A flat matrix of tan colored siderite with irregular surfaces has been crystallized over with a fine, botryoidal layer of chalcedony. The chalcedony produced little elongated forms here and there, and the rhombohedral siderite structures underneath can still be seen. The chalcedony has also been overgrown by tiny calcite crystals. Interesting and unique paragenesis! An attractive specimen from this classic Austrian locality.
